Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in raising every time we fall -Confucius

If you are dealing with unresolved or problematic behaviour, beliefs and feelings, psychotherapy helps you learn how to take control of your life, improve your health and your ability to deal with past, present and future challenges.

I offer confidential therapy services in a safe and welcoming environment. I believe every situation is unique, and therefore I tailor therapy to your individual needs. My commitment to you is based on support, attentive listening, appropriate feedback and ethical guidelines.

I believe in getting to the root cause of what holds us back, processing our past traumas, stuck points and eliminating triggers that not only keeps us inthe past and force us to live in the future that has not taken place. Coping skills and strategies allow are not enough. One must understand and process what is holding us back.

I believe in self-growth and actualization, and many people enjoy therapy and the journey towards becoming more conscious about themselves, their inner world and their relationships.

I would be honoured to be a part of this journey and will work with you to find solutions to your struggles.

Seeking therapy is a sign of strength. And no matter what the issue, therapy can help.

CONSULTANT

EMDR Consultant in Training (CIT)

I have been an EMDR therapist for almost a decade. My areas of experiences include, but is not limited to, sexual abuse, domestic violence, grief, car accidents, work-related trauma, war related trauma, bullying and neglect.

My advanced EMDR training has focused on adults who struggle with PTSD, Chronic depression, Anxiety/panic attacks. grief and mental health issues.

My clientele includes people from all walks of life including first responders/military, nurses, doctors and sexual/domestic abuse/family violence survivors.

My consultation will focus on helping you master the Standard EMDR Protocol and, most importantly, ensuring the fidelity of the model.

Although, my training in trauma started at the beginning of my career using therapies such as CBT, I find EMDR to be the most effective of them all when it comes to processing traumas. I really enjoy EMDR and how it transforms clients’ lives. It truly gives clients the confidence to move forward with life and thrive.

My goal is to help you trust the protocol and build you confidence with this therapy so you can use it effectively with clients who seek your help.

As a Consultant in Training I can provide up to 15 hours of consultation to EMDR trained clinicians (Basic Training) who are working towards EMDRIA Certification. This can be in the form of individual hours or group hours.

Once you have Basic Training, to become certified you must obtain 20 hours total (10 individual and 10 group) of consultation in relation to your use of EMDR with clients. However, if you use a Consultant in Training for 15 hours, the remaining 5 hours must come from an Approved Consultant.

As I train, I work closely with Approved Consultant, Barbara Horne.

I look forward to connecting with my colleagues in the community and helping them expand their training skills.
